Don't use a noise gate. Here's why.

You didnt read my post or you would know how wrong you are about literally everything you posted here.

First, I've been doing audio work for four years. I know how to setup a noise gate. Please explain to me how you remove keyboard sounds while speaking with a noise gate :) I'm dying to hear this!

Second, I mentioned one VST, just one, not 20. Not 5. Not a bunch. One. Subtractive EQ from reaplugs. Somehow you missed that when you were busy thinking up this brilliant response, but I'll say it again slowly for you, O N E VST was mentioned as an OPTIONAL choice in ADDITION to previously mentioned NON VST options I listed. Again, that's the first four paragraphs you've proved you didnt read.

Third, no I'm not too lazy to link them. I spent three hours searching through recent posts on r/twitch to find something i thought i could provide a lot of experience and wisdom on that wasnt something people had already said. One thing i saw come up was noise gates as a solution, over and over. So I spent a good 30 min typing this post up and stuck around for two days now to answer questions people might have. No. I'm not lazy. You can google, just as easily as i can for the links. YOU are lazy and want me to do the work for you. So no, no links. Use those hands you're busy typing crap to me with to go search this stuff up and try it out rather than bitching at someone trying to help you.

Or fail in life, I actually dont care. I'll sleep well tonight.

I promise you, and I'd bet actual real cash money on this, any real audio engineer will tell you noise gates are not the best option in most cases. They are a simple one, easy to set up, built into OBS, and accessible. That's why everyone uses them. That, and most people dont know how to set up audio properly, so it's just a one click and done, half assed solution that doesnt really fix the problem. I'm offering you an alternative to the easy one, and you want to downvote me for that alone, given all your other points are refuted here. That basically just makes you a troll.
