Why don't people like MacArthur here?

My hot take is simple, churches should not close and should not reject people from coming in when there is plenty of space. During the Black Plague Christians were known to go out in harms way at care for the sick. Not all of them, but some of them. But berating them for taking on such risks is immoral. If people want to gather to sing and pray, let them. No one that attended did not know the risks.

If JM lied about his staff getting covid I agree that is bad.

Endorsing trump, I agree trump has too many moral failings, jm also acknowledged that. But trump was a much much better choice than Brandon ethically, morally, and economically for the country.
