I'm from Canada, and I just called the Salt Lake City police department demanding that this "officer" be appropriately reprimanded for assaulting an innocent nurse. Even from Nova Scotia they've set up a line specifically for complaints against the "officer" who assaulted Ms. Wubbel. I simply called and let them know that if he escaped with anything but a criminal record, this man should be at the VERY least assigned some jail time. I believe it is truly terrifying if this man dos not receive appropriate punishment. And appropriate punishment CERTAINLY does not include desk duty. At the very least he should be fired and never allowed to work as a civil servant ever again, and he should at minimum face some jail time. As a university of Utah Alumni, this is unnacceptable beyond all belief, and u certainly will not be making a trip down any time soon as long as this officer is free to terrorize the innocent people of Salt Lake City. He MUST be arrested, and I'm sure the whole country agrees with me. If this officer is not removed from the force ATLEAST, and at most should face jail time, it will be yet again another great example of why US citizens should want to immigrate to Canada. At least here nobody gets arrested for doing their job.
