I don't want to do the truck shift anymore

If you hurt, then you and/or your truck buddy are doing something wrong and you need to stop immediately! You shouldn't feel like you are being destroyed.

I work at In n Out, and I do Delivery shifts every 2 days and I feel no pain. Why? Because at In n out we aren't rushed by crummy managers to hurry up. We also follow proper lifting procedures. It is very important to lift with your legs and never use your back!

If you feel pain, you need to let your manager know. But you should also insist that you can't do those shifts anymore. Don't let them pressure you, or else you're going to have to go to a labor board or whatever that's called to complain about shotty managers.

I'll repeat what I said: if you feel destroyed and in pain, you're doing something horribly wrong and you need to stop and take a break until you figure out how to do it without pain.

Source: I used to work at a McD's and we had that slide thing that led to the basement too. It was tough so I know where you're coming from.

Just never accept pain as "normal" because pain = damage, and long term damage IS NOT GOOD.
