Our economy wasn’t designed/prepared for this - particularly the extended shutdown of private businesses.

Democrats were adamant about shutting down the private businesses in their state as a response to COVID (science now shows that that strategy was largely ineffective). Republicans tried to fight that plan by arguing that we’d have no way to issue relief dollars.

Democrats ignored the warnings and shut their states down anyway and now want to place the blame on Republicans for not issuing the relief they had already warned they wouldn’t be able to issue.

But the geniuses in this sub have it boiled down to “Republicans are evil”.
