I don't understand the 6k policy personally, I think it should be at least 10k? I mean I'm worried I might lose my hair and want to save for that

Sorry I get that it’s difficult but but the treatment you want to save up for would be considered cosmetic surgery. The NHS will fund any medical treatment you are deemed to need.

UC isn’t a revenue stream to allow people to save £10k for cosmetic surgery. UC is for the jobless…people that are unemployed are legally expected to use their savings to support themselves and on their day to day needs. It’s not UBI. If you manage to hold £10k in savings, legally your entitlement to UC changes as you are considered to have enough funds to meet your day to day living expenses yourself.

The government has deemed £6k to be the starting point of capital restrictions.
