It didn’t heal properly so he decides to see a different group of doctors because the Spurs doctors haven’t been able to alleviate his pain.

There’s clearly a difference of opinion over what his injury is. It seems like the Spurs believe he can play but Kawhi doesn’t feel ready.

Public sparring begins. Pop makes his comments about Kawhi’s group. Parker says his injury is much worse. Kawhi feels betrayed at this point and has likely checked out.

Kawhi demands a trade, preferably to his hometown team. For some reason everyone hates him because he isn’t speaking publicly on the issue, even though Kyrie was also quiet after demanding a trade last year yet people didn’t give him shit for it.
