"We don't know what to add to make F-Zero great" says Nintendo... I say...

Nintendo putting f-zero on hiatus truly breaks my heart. The original game for SNES is regarded as one of the greatest games of all time. The graphics were appealing, the soundtrack was phenomenal, and it set the stage for racing games.

X and GX were also great! They had awesome maps, music, cars, and characters. They did a good job expanding the F-Zero universe, while also progressing the racing mechanics. There was this whole future universe with awesome high speed death races. The game was so immersive because you were going so fucking fast. That was the coolest thing ever to me as a kid.

Why Nintendo? Why did you quietly suffocate F-Zero with a pillow, just to make way for Mario kart? F-Zero was Nintendo's racing title. It had its own characters, a cool dystopian future setting, an amazing soundtrack, and immersive gameplay. Fuck, listening to the metal Big Blue cover on GX while flying thousands of miles per hour 1 foot off the ground is the most adrenaline inducing thing I've ever done in a video game. Mario kart is a decent game but why did they have to sacrifice F-Zero like that?

I like to think that with modern technology a new F-Zero game would be absolutely amazing. High speed death races would be so fucking cool with modern graphics and performance. There's so much room for growth with that series. I really truly cannot understand why they did my boy Falcon like that. He's in more smash games than he is his own games. Why?
