I don't know what to do with my life anymore and it's making me depressed.

Hello,

I am a former attorney who occasionally checks this forum. My advice is to drop out as soon as possible.

You are entering a miserable, amoral profession of disingenuousness and acrimony, filled with some of the worst people you will ever meet. I say this as a licensed attorney who, thank God, no longer has to work with these people. I actually devote a few minutes a day to a blog chronicling the lack of ethics of a "prestigious" biglaw firm, but I suspect it's not just them, and that it's bad all around.

Part of the profession's nature is revealed to you in law school, when you see that -- instead of matching supply and demand as any decent and ethical profession would do -- money-grubbing and opportunistic professors over-admit and over-graduate, for profit. It just gets worse the more you dig in.

Good luck
