Isn't that just the human in all of us. We all live in grey areas, and at a point in our life have wanted something so badly, that we haven't given a thought about the consequences. When in believe in something so strongly, that we know will be there for us, we often do things without considering their morality. PBY puts her life on the line, why because she knows he will show up. Her want to meet him, exceeds her thinking. For me, its not toxic but her love and faith in him. Jina's obsession with Hyungyu, is not obsession. She is holding onto him, even if its using his name for her novels. She loves him no matter what, and the fact that she never got the closure she needed, so she is still hanging onto his name as the last token/proof of their love.
