Why do I get downvoted when I ask questions because I don't understand something?

Of course someone who asks something about a topic they don't know about is going to sound ignorant about said subject.

Anyone asking about something they don't know in order to get to know it does not sound ignorant imo!

I mean how can someone be ignorant when they try to get more educated about certain things?!

Thst being said: most likely Reddit-hivemind. I gave up on trying to understsnd it. Like I once just posted some rules about corona here in germany - and what people fear over here. All facts, all reasonable, not even my personal opinion. Got downvoted. I still have no clue why and people refused to tell me. That's just Reddit.
