Dr. Amie Wolf Fired from UBC

Her safe work environment is finding a new job where she isn’t exposing her fake self to “excel”.

As an indigenous women myself she has been really offensive. It’s had taken a lot of hard work to get to where I am. I also work at UBC (as a freelance artist) and never did I once use my heritage to get there. I do however find it almost offensive when people continue to pester about my heritage like it was far in the past, as if I don’t currently affiliate with it. My family dynamics are still real. And because my grandma and her sisters went to residential school, I was brought up in a strict Christian (Angelica) household and other than what my grandma can remember from her past she looks at her heritage as Christian based, and anything prior I’ve only learned from personal research (and from people who studied aboriginal history, which I did not, I studied art and theatre haha).
