I've never played it but I've spent the last week looking online for gameplay and mechanics.

It's a fighting game where you launch for missions from a large hub world - think like Saints Row where there are a ton of minigames, races, collectibles, and challenges over a large city area.

The missions take place in several popular Dragon Ball scenes/environments and they are rather large - you fly around using a scouter to find enemies and objectives. You aren't playing the main characters, you are a time police agent kinda thing fixing history.

There seems to be a rather long story with a lot of side missions and character progression.

If you like Dragon Ball, it's safe to say you will like this game. They got all (nearly all?) the voice actors from the show and they give you a lot of freedom, including some personal choices that effect the story and environment.

You can't, I don't believe, go on a rampage and Spirit Bomb a city and run from the Cops - so if you were looking for GTA Dragon Ball Z this might not be for you.
