[Drama] What the heck happened with Pax East?

What happened to PAX? Simple: Dickwolves. Or more precisely the fallout from it.

A small minority of people (proto-aGGros, if you will) went on a tirade about the comic, using tactics that should be very familiar to anyone even remotely knowlegable about the past 6 months. There were some that opposed them, but the vast majority of people kept their heads down and didn't speak out against the neo-Puritanical feminists because they were afraid to be called bad names like sexist, misogonyst, etc. So they gave up saying "It's just this one thing, it doesn't really matter".

To placate the feminists, they started giving into their demands for "inclusiveness" in the form of special treatment for them with regard to panels, "safe spaces", etc. Every PAX, it got incrementally worse. Each time, people grumbled a bit at the silliness of it all, but caved to their insanity out of fear of being labeled those oh so horrid, "socially unacceptable" names.

Well, this week you've seen the end result of your previous silence. GDC infested with neon haired hipsters dictating rules about special bathrooms. PAX panels that have little to nothing to do with gaming, but everything to do with feeding "special snowflakes" delusions of self importance. PAX owners afraid to say anything while psychotic lunitics besmirch the good name of the conference they worked so hard to bring to the community for their own personal gain and ego.

So anytime you think about going on a "muh PR" rant, stop and take a good look at this weeks events. The panels at GDC and PAX, the brazen attacks/jokes against core gamers, "Players/Gamers+". That's what years of "muh PR" has gotten us. That's what you get when you "just humor them". You have no one to blame but yourselves for letting this happen. All we can do is try to stop it now, and say "No More!"
