Driver gets probation for leaving scene of 2016 crash that hospitalized St. Louis musician

I knew her. She is a party girl. She was/is super into Phish, Grateful Dead, and the local jam band scene. Even goes by the name Michelle Marley. Ya know, like Bob Marley.

I've seen her at several bars very very drunk/drugged since the most recent incident. I didn't know about the incident until now though. Kind of disturbing thinking back on how she is capable of doing this, yet is still out partying with a bunch of trashy wannabe hippy kids.

That's kind of the M.O. of the Schwagstock kids though. They get completely shitfaced, trash the place, drive home fucked up. She represents St. Charles hippy culture very well unfortunately. It's a trashy scene filled with more shitty people than good. But there are still some good people. There just isn't really much of an actual hippy scene in the area though. It's all people getting drunk and doing drugs, RAGING IT, focused on popularity and materialism. She is one of the more attractive girls in the scene and that makes her popular, so she probably clings onto that to maintain relevance in an otherwise bleak and empty town.

There's no appreciation for sustainability, art, nature or even kindness in the scene. It's more like a frat house with people trying to show off their new tie dye BMW to be the most popular rather than any sort of community. So, in other words in sucks. I would've liked to see her receive a little more punishment. Perhaps 6 months for almost killing a man and not helping him, leaving him disabled? I mean, jeez.

Believe it or not, she is actually kind of a cute girl, by St. Charles standards at least. I can't help but think that played a part in her lenient sentence.
