Driving accommodations?

Sit on a pillow or a cushion. That's what I do. I've had a pillow under my but since the first day I started to learn to drive. It's actually a requirement on my license along with my glasses. Also in newer cars you can usually raise the driver's seat. It's never enough but at least I don't have to have a giant pillow.

I don't turn around when backing up. I can't. I have become the master of the rearview mirrors. Just go slow and keep your head on a swivel.

You shouldn't sit on your leg. I used to do that too. My knees are bad now and I have poor circulation in my legs. About a month ago I ended up in the hospital with DVT. It's not the worst but it can kill you. I think all things combined, sitting on my leg, poor circulation gave me the DVT. But my car seat is infinitely more comfortable than any chair or couch I have ever sat in. Not saying it will be the same for you but it's the best chair I own.
