Because you are a responsible pet owner... as I had they exist but are not he norm. I rent out my place and once let a Spanish couple keep their 2 dachshunds there for 1 year. Had to recarpet and get a new sofa because of chew marks on the legs and arms. While deposit did cover it it took a lot of fuss and traveling home to let in workmen/painters etc. That was 3 or 4years ago and never again. They didn’t bark tbf but did obviously not let them out enough and carpet in the bedroom had pee marks and living room was chewed up by the door.

Like I said, never again. Thinking everyone is a responsible pet owner when half the people renting aren’t even responsible humans is giving people way more credit than they deserve.
