Also, believing the peak of human experience is some ego-driven nihilistic pursuit of “happiness” for your individual person will leave you dead inside long before your body gives out.

I’m not saying you should have kids, I get why you wouldn’t, it’s scary and painful and risky and a huge detriment to your individual freedom. But there is a reason why our species does it over and over again, and there is also a reason why it is actively being discouraged.
