"Boomers" were actually the ones being abused in a system that allowed it and the boomers were the ones who raised awareness of it and changed things. Before, kids would go to school bruised up and no one said anything. Now if a kid has a scratch the schools immediately jump into action to investigate the child's home situation. Is it perfect? No, but it has definitively changed.
