Dumped at 21 after 3 year relationship. What's some good life advice for me?

Sorry to hear this, BUT:

Odds are there may be SEVERAL such breakups in the years ahead. That's just the way it goes. We get into situations with other people and sometimes the work out, but often they don't. Relationships are like living things: they can die at any time with or without warning.

This isn't to say you can't find love again, or that "temporary" relationships aren't good. Nothing lasts forever, and "till death do you part" isn't usually the way it goes until you're much, much older.

If one person in a relationship is unhappy, the relationship won't work and it's better to be alone and happy for a while than stuck in an unhappy situation with someone else.
