A pretty standard go-to recommendation around the raw community are Rigid Wrangler Cowboy Cut Original Fit. The "Premium Performance version (47MWZ) are significantly better in my opinion.

They claim they last 20% longer than the standard 13MWZR... who knows for sure, but anecdotally they do seem to hold up a little better.

The front pockets are definitely deeper and easier to get in to than the 13, and the 47 also features a coin pocket.

At 14.75 oz, they're definitely heavier than your standard Walmart denim. They're "rigid," but sanforized, so at the risk of offending the community I won't go so far as to call them raw, but you can get some pretty decent fades for sub-$30 jeans. I live out in the country, and guys will routinely get 10 years. of wear out of their cowboy cut Wranglers. They get some pretty cool fades on them after that long, as you may imagine. They seem exceptionally resistant to crotch blowouts too, for what it's worth.

Just some notes about the fit- some guys will find the top block too aggressive. The rise is pretty high, and the back pockets sit higher than you may be used to. They're snug through the thigh, but below the knee they definitely don't taper, as they're meant to fit over boots. Keeping this in mind, they look much better worn with a boot than with sneakers. They do offer a slim fit version, albeit at a lighter weight, and the slim fit do not come in "rigid."

Happy hunting!
