During the Hawks / Kings game the other evening, Vivek Ranadive and a few other Kings officials invited one of the protest organizers inside to chat about how the team could help the cause.

Yeah no trust me I absolutely believe that racial prejudice is a serious problem in law enforcement (particularly against blacks) and leads to some absolutely disgusting instances of abuse of power/excessive force.

..? Did I not say this?

Literally all I'm saying is that perhaps, in this particular individual instance, it may very well have not been as centered around his race in contrast to those prior issues in the past where race was a factor. This specific instance is not nearly as black and white as its been portrayed to be on this website. This isn't Castile, this isn't Eric Garner, this is a completely separate case where the suspect actually may have been at least somewhat at fault for the consequence of his actions based on the context of the situation.

I'm not saying this isn't an altogether serious problem, I just am less convinced than in the past that this instance was predominantly due to his race rather than being more so an issue of police brutality/excessive force
