And during a pandemic..

Respondus Lockdown Browser has an addon called 'Respondus Monitor' which is more than just a lockdown browser and does what OP described. It allegedly 'tracks eye movement' as part of its anti-cheating system, records your voice, records you, and forces you to 'show your surroundings' during a pre-test set up so the teacher could see it. I was forced to use this in one of my lectures and felt it was a massive breach of my privacy. Here it is: https://web.respondus.com/he/monitor/

Neither Respondus Lockdown Browser nor Monitor can be uninstalled from Windows' Control Panel after your institution forces you to install it, even after you're done with the course.

Also, their privacy policy says nothing about what they do with the data they essentially collect from students. To me, it seems they only describe how they use the data collected from whoever purchases the software, not who's actually going to be forced to use their products to take their tests.
