Yeah I'm in therapy already. I knew almost immediately after we got married it was going to be rough going. I'm 33, never been married before him, and I just thought some of it might be me having expectations that were too high. The longer we are married, the more I realize it's not my expectations, it's like a switch was flipped as soon as the ink went on the paper. I was in therapy a month after we got married and I go every week. I did get him to agree to solo therapy for a trial run but his appointment isn't until april, so I'm hoping once he gets established that he will continue therapy and maybe be willing to delve into some couples therapy, anger management, and maybe even sex therapy. I've told my therapist I want to give it a year and see how things go. New marriages throw everyone off balance and I'm hoping hes just off center and will line up. I realize that's unlikely, but as long as I'm honest with him about what things are bothering me, I have to give him a little time to decide if he wants to do things about it. If he is, that's all well and good and we can work on it. If hes not willing to try to help any of our issues then that's a totally different ballgame and I dont feel like it's my responsibility to stay in a broken marriage.
