Dutch Parliament recognizes Armenian Genocide; Minister to Attend Commemoration.

Churchill had many flaws, especially when viewed through a modern lens. But I think one of the great things about him is that he took such a firm and unpopular stand against evil despite the fact that he was a colonialist, imperialist asshole. He overcame a tendency to excuse or justify fascism that was very prevalent in people of his class.

And not just his class - MacKenzie King in Canada, Joseph Kennedy in the US, Edward VIII among many, many others. Even Josef Stalin was fooled by Hitler for a time.

Churchill perceived what the Soviets were up to, as well. He knew what Stalin was and tried to warn the Americans, and particularly Roosevelt, numerous times. He was right.

At the very least, the man could sniff out monsters.
