I get what you’re saying, because majority in the US means majority of the party that won in individual state dictates the president and the popularity vote is different from the majority vote. Honestly, the Philippines really isn’t ready for the same voting system in the US because most people will be like “well, why didn’t x win?!? He won the popularity vote!”. It’s more complex over here. And that’s coming from me who’s a Pinay that experienced her first US elections last year. And I was lucky I was done American Politics as one of my Gen Ed subjects in my nursing course a month before the elections. Or else I would’ve been asking my husband all the time on what was going on.
