Dying Light 2 Development Update.

Ye I agree with that entirely. The game also contradicts itself very hard by first making melee weapons/combat the focus (which is great) and then the first gun you encounter is multiple times more powerful AND useful than the strongest melee weapon at that point. BUT the melee weapons are what was fun, that's what made the game unique and interesting. The guns have little variation and in terms of gameplay it's by no means Dead Space, so no thanks.

The game has a constant feeling of being chased, which is pretty interesting, but it's mostly for the reason that the zombies never relent, the respawns are endless, no matter how strong you become or how great you get at parcour. You are always surrounded by a mindless swarm of mobs that as the game goes on becomes increasingly pointless to deal with.

At some point I realized that the most logical way to play the game is to simply avoid all combat. The formule just doesn't make sense in its current implementation and I hope that DL2 does a lot to fix this problem.

Just my opinion, this game is very popular so many people must think it's really fun, I respect that but personally I don't think it was.
