E-kick scooter owners: What is good and where did you get yours?

The biggest mistake you're likely to make as a first time e scooter, purchaser is buying something that is too small or underpowered and you'll get bored of it very quickly as your skills build. You're going to quickly outgrow and then have to upgrade in a few months. I wouldn't waste my money on those $500 ones unless you just want it as a toy to occasionally putter around on. If you want to go any real distance or use it for commuting purposes, you should buy something in the $1,000 range. The Apollo city is a decent one. You can go 45 km if you want to ( although I would not recommend it ) But the range is the real winner. Here. The Apollo city will give you about 40 km of range. It's foldable and you can carry it upstairs and only weighs about 35lbs.

The real question is what do you want your scooter for? How much do you weigh? And what purpose do you want the scooter to serve?. In Halifax you want to make sure you get something with enough juice to get you up these ridiculous hills without overheating the motors.

Will you have to carry it? Do you plan on using it to get to work to cut down on your fuel bill? Be aware that they're not waterproof and should not be used in wet weather. If you are taking one to work and you charge it at your job or do you need enough range to get you there and back without charging in between?
