Each year I try to capture the essence of raising two boys in our Christmas cards...here they are.

Small portions of NJ were “crippled”, very small portions compared to the entire state. Every state has it’s downsides but to say that NJ is a worse state to live in because it was damaged by a hurricane 5 years ago is stupid. Hurricanes rarely come through the Northeast so it isn’t built to handle constant hurricanes, population density is way higher than Mississippi in the small parts of NJ that were “crippled”, and it’s way more developed than the vast majority of Mississippi.

NJ was up and running a few days after Sandy, it wasn’t crippled. Super Storm Sandy was the name utilized by the media because of the amount of damage it caused. A category 1 hitting the bigget metropolitan area in the United States is a bit more costly and devastating than hitting Mississippi, don’t you think?

Keep in mind, this is from a resident of a state that is said to “despise” people from NJ, and the state.
