I agree that it's not "cool" or supportable, but what was she supposed to do in that situation? Pledis disbanded her group, so what avenues does she have left in Korea? Go solo? Variety? Acting? It's already tough enough for "normal" idols to find a footing by themselves after a group disbandment, let alone for her as a foreigner.

I agree there are definitely better ways to go about it, but we have no idea what Pledis's plans were after disbanding the group. Are they supportive of her going to China while still being under their label? How established is Pledis in China to properly manage her, especially for her solo career? These are questions I don't think many are knowledgeable enough to make comments about.
