Is It Easier To Get a Gun Than it is a Book? (Colion Noir)

I think my problem with the argument is that it does not address what the President actually means. The president is saying that because a teen in the hood probably knows someone who can get them a gun, it is easier to get the gun because there's not many good libraries in the hood(I am assuming) - the President is referring to the black market, not an actual store in his stupid quote.

If he(the Pres) is right is irrelevant, he is actually arguing against himself with this point. The black market exists because of gun laws, so the laws he wants to pass are actually the thing that "makes it easy for a kid to get a gun..." but of coarse he can't put the full story together, he sees a chance to get what he wants and stops thinking critically about it.

Same with drugs, my son can get weed easier than he can get alcohol because of the black market. The black market doesn't card/ID, the black market doesn't do background checks... ultimately the black market makes it easier to get "bad things" and the black market is created from passing stupid laws.

Thats why I am not 100% behind Colion in this, he had a better point to make and missed it. The President is making it easier with stupid gun laws. Edit: I still support Colion and love what he is doing, but the President made a stupid quote and Colion missed the kill shot. He should have said a better legal market prevents black markets that make it easy for people to get "bad things." He should have said something about preventing Black Markets and how Gun Control creates Black Markets... IMO at least, but that would take more than a quick soundbite on a TV show so I still like his answer, I just think it missed the point and missed a chance to point out how Obama is leading the charge that makes it "easier for kids to get guns..."
