The Easter bunny is real I swear

I know I'm replying to a 4 year old comment but I figured that I'm reading this thread now so chances are I won't be the last. Anyway, thank you for saying as much. I'm just now reading about the Easter bunny phenomena because a podcaster I listen to shared these stories on her Twitter page, and I distinctly remember having a conversation before school one morning when another girl swore up and down that she and her sister saw the Easter bunny when they were little BUT there's no way it was her parents because they weren't into that sort of thing, and the thing was apparently demonic looking (matching a lot of other descriptions I've read so far with the razor sharp teeth and red glowing eyes). Her sister backed her up on it, and they didn't look like they were messing around at all. We were in middle school at the time so we were well passed the age of believing in that sort of thing and they were never, ever the dishonest type anyway.

Well, I remember this conversation because when I was younger I had something very strange happen to me too, only it was the tooth fairy that paid me a visit (no pun intended), and what I'm about to tell you is what I told them after they shared their story.

Before going to bed one night I was hellbent on getting some cash for a planned trip my friend and I had to the nearest toys r us (we lived about 45 mins away from it and his dad agreed to take us so, it was kind of a big deal) to get as many pokemon toys as possible. This friend always had got more allowance money than me so I didn't care if I had to pull the barely loosened tooth out with pliers I needed that money. So I yanked, and yanked and yanked until finally I was in a ton of pain and had a mouthful of blood but I got the tooth out, proudly holding it up to the light, only it was missing a part of the root (which later came out on its own). I put it under my pillow, and went to sleep. Something really creepy happened in the middle of the night. I woke up, and felt someone in my room. Like I could just tell someone was there. I thought it was my dad, but I couldn't open my eyes. It was like I had a mean case of pink eye, and my eyelids were glued shut. In fact I expected to have pink eye when I woke up because of it. I went to sit up in bed, but as I went to sit up u felt a lot of resistance like someone was pushing my head down to my pillow. I thought it was odd for my father to be so rough with me but right ater that I fell back asleep.

I woke up in the morning befuddled. No pink eye, everything was normal, and I got up turning over to look at the blood spots on my pillow from the forced extraction, and checked underneath it to find a very, very crisp but old 2 dollar bill, and a Ben Franklin 50 cent piece. I was stoked. I ran upstairs and found my grandma sitting in the chair. I explained how happy I was to have found it and I'll never forget the look on her face when I did. She did that thing where she curled the pages of the newspaper she was reading and gave me a side eyed, suspicious glance. I got ready for school, and before leaving my dad woke up and came into the living room where my grandma told him what'd happened in a suspicious tone. My dad said "let me see" as if he didn't believe it. I showed him the missing tooth, and apparently it was evident that I had forced it because he raised his voice and said "What did I tell you about pulling too hard!?". I thought it was really weird but what did I care? I had money and I was off to school.

Here's where things get weirder. I woke up the next morning and had a hunch. I checked under my pillow, and what do you know? Two one dollar bills sat underneath it. I come upstairs and my Grandma asked me if the tooth fairy visited me last night. I guess she must not have believed me that I got money the night before. I never did show it to her or my father, and by asking me that she all but gave away that she put the money there, or knew that my fa When my dad woke up he asked me if the tooth fairy finally came. Very, very strange.
