Eating a meat free burger

I had one of those impossible burgers. Owner of the company was buying lunch for everyone for some reason (he does it relatively a lot, or the company buys us lunch) and I wasn’t digging anything on the menu so I figured I’d try an Impossible burger.

It tasted somewhat ok, it wasn’t terrible or anything. Had parts that tasted like a real burger, maybe a bit too much charting on it. But the texture and mainly the look of it was too gross for me. Once you bit into it you could see the... I don’t know, the sprouts/stems of plants or whatever fauna or quinoa they use (it looked a little like quinoa, I don’t actually know what’s in those things). The color is what made me feel the ickiest. I think the texture wasn’t all that great but it was the looking at this well over red colored inside that really made the texture seem worse than it was. It was the same amount of red as a very rare cheese burger and I like my meat medium to medium well. I actually would prefer no pink or red but people freak out about that and they say that cooks out a lot of the taste but boy oh boy did I not like the red insides of the impossible burger. Would not get again for myself.
