ED, please invest in yourself and your user base.

The issue is that most of the user base that plays DCS are "fanboys" that will buy almost any new "shiny" module they can get their hands on... and THAT is what ED banks on, and why wouldn't they? If you were going to start a company, at first you'd want to do the best work possible - to gain a user base and reliable product, but then as your company grew and your core members supported you no matter what, wouldn't that make you less motivated to innovate or make things better? I didn't say you "wouldn't" do those things (because it's shady af if you stop building a reliable brand/product), but you're going to be less motivated at the very least. ED specifically is a smaller development team, I get that, and a lot of these tasks take time - that's also fine. What I'm not okay with is how uninvolved the development team is with us, the paying customers. We want a product to be better, and we want the user base to grow, which means in-turn we want ED to make more money - as long as the product that they producing is met to the expectations they themselves created. Community involvement has always been an issue for me with DCS. I'm shocked at how many great people there are around here that support DCS, from content creators to dedicated fly-boys... Wouldn't it be great if more than one or two staff members were engaging with people across the several media platforms - hell, even within the game itself?!

Community / product engagement is a problem with almost every company in existence, Eagle Dynamics is definitely not excluded from this. The only way you're going to "motivate" companies, is by actually doing something about it - not just complaining, because complaining alone isn't going to solve anything. The community that backs any given company (for e.g. investors, community members, etc) needs to not only speak up, but not be afraid to band together and wave red flags - and we already see this all the time within larger companies, why should ED be excluded from that? Ultimately; the goal of a company is to make money, not lose money, and 9/10 times a company will listen to their core community members - as long as the right message is being sent.

I'm tired of hearing people complain, without action to support it. What type of "actions" are the community members going to take in order to send the entire Eagle Dynamics team "the right message?"

A bit of a rant, but hopefully it makes sense to some people.

TL;DR Stop just complaining and do something about it.

Fly safely fellow pilots...
