[ED1963] When "Made in China" doesn't carry a stigma. Album in comments!

Album

The WIS of this subreddit are no strangers to the Seagull 1963 reissues. I’ve seen them posted several times over the years, and the variants have only grown. I found myself in need of a chronograph, and I decided that it’s tough to beat the Project 304 watches for the price. I was also looking forward to owning a new movement not by ETA or Seiko. This variant has a beautiful display back, showing off the decorated ST19 movement. They all have historical value and military history. I ignored some of that historical precedence to ensure Ed added the slick blue hands rather than the standard gold. I don’t know how the red and blue and gold work so well. They just do.

Ed’s attention to detail on these is crazy for under $300. The strap that comes along, while not the highest grade leather I’ve ever handled, comes stamped with the “star trek” logo seen on the dial as well as the crown (!). It was a lot of fun going back and forth and talking with him before he sent it. He estimated that there have only been 100-150 of this particular combination made so far. I’d be happy to PM you Ed’s email address if you’re interested.

Happy early birthday to me!
