Edmonton woman diagnosed with cancer told she will wait 8 weeks for treatment | Globalnews.ca

What’s even worst is that your doctors, mostly resident doctors work 26 hour non stop, non sleeping shifts where some don’t even get a chance to eat. On top of that these resident doctors are paid 3000$ a month fixed despite working 70-90 hours a week for 5+ years after medical school with hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loans.

The system is designed to screw over patients. While long wait times are being understood by the public as a problem, I hope the public also sees that the frontline doctors in hospitals are being abused by the healthcare system. Happy doctors = more productive and efficient doctors, not to mention more compassionate doctors

Spread the world, make the problem known
