Edward Elric vs Avatar Aang

> Because Alchemy is literally element bending. I

No man. It isn't the same at all. I literally just explained this. Bending and alchemy are fundamentally different. Energybending works by manipulating the target's chi so they are unable to bend. Alchemists don't have chi or any sort of internal spiritual force. In fact, the energy they use to power alchemy comes from the planet's seismic forces and chemical reactions.

> That ability can taken away as it basically works similar to how bending works in the Avatar Universe as an inherent ability.

What part of "energybending isn't a universal de-powering ability" don't you get? It's a specific in-universe power that's used for disabling bending and maybe possibly other powers whose source comes from chi. However, since Alchemy is completely different from bending, I don't even see how you can make this argument.

> He also can't transmute without both hands free. If he loses his automail arm or has his arms restrained, he's powerless.

That's completely irrelevant to this point.

Your entire argument revolves around "Alchemy is kinda like bending and Ed has had his alchemy disabled therefore Aang can take away his alchemy" which is terribly flawed. Alchemy and bending are different abilities with similar end results. That does NOT mean a specific technique that can disable one can affect the other. It's like saying a candle and a lightbulb both give off light and heat so they must be the same process.

EDIT: Downvoting? Really? Very mature. Also against the rules.
