Eircode: How greed, cronyism and vested interests are serving anyone but the Irish public

Author here. I'm probably going to throw more flames on the fire than anything, I usually refrain from posting in forums etc for reasons I'll be happy to explain, but this thread epitomises it.
Anyway.
-Points raised. I see them. Addressing it as we speak. Not sure we have that many experts in postcode systems but that's not the point. The article is on
1-Recommendations (that were ignored, they didn't have to be taken as gospel and they sure weren't)
2-Stakeholders and process
This is where I'm really growing tired of comments were the initial idea is favoured instead of due diligence. If this process doesn't send your alarm bells ringing nothing ever will. "Sure it's grand we finally got a postcode, all these leftists naysayers" etc. I'm actually writing on that part right now, but seriously, Irish companies being excluded right from the start intentionally (€40m turnover ), the European Commission confirming the process was flawed, a consortium headed by the very people who sat on the working group, yet disregarded its recommendations to make it serve their own limited interests, the €27m involved, the head of the consortium being appointed as a NAMA "servicer"... What else do you want???!!! Jingle bells on top?

-A government has DUTY to make this happen in a seamless and open matter for the public to get the service they're paying for. It's not rocket science. It is 2015 and there is so much information out there this ought to be very easy to do.

-The very fact it took 10 years say much more than I could write about and translate for people to comprehend.

-"Crapita" "may have been written by a 14 year old"
That's a reference to (grown-up) private eye who coined the term...

-And lastly, no offence intended, but if you want to research and write about it, feel free.
