"You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" -> Satanism

Eh, I can see how you would see that from a white-lighter's perspective.

But who decides what is good and what is evil? Only you can, based on your own reasoning and conscience.

Like to me, most religions are evil because they thrive on the fear snd stupidity of others to trick them into believing in nonsense. So many horrible acts have been juatified under the guise of religion.

Satanism om the other hand, doesn't claim to be "morally righteous" and in many ways, can't be described as such.

But at oeast we don't fuck with people that haven't done a thing to us, (unpike Christians which conquered and slaughtered millions of peoples.)

And while we do believe in the power of revenge, I think the vast majority of us apply a lot of common sense to that principle. Like, if getting revenge would make the situation worse, most Satanists wouldn't go for it and instead try to let the bad feelings go in a way that wouldn't cause trouble.

So it depends on what your definition of a villain is.

But yes, to the religious majority we are the "villains", the heathens that provoke god's wrath and bring all the problems upon the world, the scapegoat.
