I think the best way to go about it is to only go on day dates for the first couple of weeks. Don't tell them your doing it because you want to wait, just make up stupid excuses, like I can't go out then I need to give the cat a bath, but I am free ___. Or, i really had a good time today, but I need to get home and paint my shed.

Now aside from that, you may have stumbled on what the folks in the pickup community refer to the push/pull principal. Now I won't go into how lame and adversarial dating, and pickup can get because I wanted to make a point about this push/pull thing.

I don't know if you have ever been in unrequited love, but it is the worst thing ever, and it is honestly it's something that for some men to be avoided at all cost, even if it mean sabotaging something that could be real, and sincere. It's that bad.

Healthy boundaries are awesome, and awesome respectful dudes respect that. But if your awesome healthy boundaries start to feel like push push push, healthy dudes will move on. On the other hand we all in our hearts know that as strangers we are not actually special to each other, so if you come across as pull pull pull, we might get suspicious. Damn this stuff is so basic, and I'm still so clueless.. dating sucks.
