However, I would say my point wasn't that you were against people trying things, it was that you seem to be against trying to understand where others are coming from.

Guess felt that your comment was unnecessarily standoffish, and although it was probably made in good faith you did seem to attack a point you thought they had made (because you didn't agree with it) rather than understand what they had actually written or further questions to clarify where they were coming from.

I'm not out to offend anyone, so my apologies for any perceive ill will, I have none. I am just tired of discussions devolving into polarised word wars where you must chose a side.
