Elden Ring isn't actually worse than you thought, you're just burnt out.

Its not a near perfect game. People also take it really personal when you're critical of the game. Being critical is how games improve. Even more important because this is FromSoft most popular game by far. Meaning they have a lot of money that they can use to make things better.

Honestly the questlines in the game are absolute shit when compared to let's say Witcher. A lot of them basically involve exhausting dialog. You don't even have to make a choice just keeping mashing and the result is the same. The hints and clues are also pretty bad. You have to wiki how to finish almost all of them.

Theres no consequences in the game. Over half the roundtable is killed or MIA and no one gives a shit. Kill tarnished for volcano manor still no one cares. Release Blaidd.... iji, "oh he must have escaped..."

Doing things in the world doesn't change the world. You raid stormviel. Have 2 of your friends sitting in the Throne Room yet you still get attacked being in the castle. I should be getting attacked by NPCs in Raya Lucaraia Rennala and I are cool even if I helped someone try to overthrow her lol.
