The biggest problem with Elden Ring PVP imo is that they made it only possible to invade coop games. I dont have hard numbers on it, but my guess is a lot of coop games arent just experienced players having fun with their friends, but one player who isnt as good/easily frustrated/inexperienced being helped by someone they know.

On previous Souls games if you got invaded, even if it was some hacky twink build, it was a sort of funny and unlucky happenstance. But now that its just coop players, apparently you are getting invaded constantly and by builds that are really hard to defend against, and most of these coop players are the kinds of players who want the least resistance!
