The elephant in the room is that Bungie has yet to deliver on why this season pass model is better.

I never once got the impression that the “seasons of content” via Annual Pass was better for the players. It seemed easier for Bungie by creating tiny drips of “content” (more like content bloating, in my opinion), than actual player engagement.

The content we have been given for a long time is just recycling old content. Forsaken was a good start, but it was barely half as good as people say. People are just happy random rolls are back and there was a decent campaign and story. But now the game is more about chasing cosmetics. The perks always feel like the same 4 or 5 on each gun, and it always feels like the same 3 or 4 guns. Same with armor. Like, same two sets + useless Y1 gear.

I really want to play the Annual Pass, since I bought it. But I’m at LL 580, and I just don’t have the enthusiasm to grind and grind and grind and grind for ugly ass gear that drops 1LL higher than what I currently have equipped (can’t infuse due to core economy) and then go outside the game to find players to to end game content with.

Crucible is broken, we aren’t getting any big patches or updates, and the only reason the latest forge is being unlocked is because Bungie hyped it, gaming media outlets are watching, and Bungie realizes they need to step in to appear like they are actively listening and engaging the community.

I played a little today, for an hour and got one powerful engram. Yesterday I played for 2 hours and completed some of the weekly tasks and got 1 LL increase. Playing the same stale content that was boring to begin with just to grind for cosmetic items is pointless to me. And I just feel of the game now that I’m just over Bungie trying to take shortcuts with everything. It’s disappointing constantly.
