Eleven-year-old ordered deported without her family

Your numbers do not make sense to me in relation to your claim that a large majority aren't actually seeking asylum.

How many people try to come here? How many claim asylum? How many are granted it? How many are denied and why are they denied?

What you linked also says 53% of people who did an interview filed for asylum. That is a majority of people claiming that they need asylum. You mention that supposedly half of the people who come here under asylum disappear and never file. Well, if I knew most people aren't granted it and I was here and fearing for my life back home, I might disappear, too. There's no discussion about why they didn't file.

You're also quoting an "immigration hard-liner." That is a super biased source, so I'm unlikely to believe it.
