ELI5: Do babies in India eat spicy food?

India equals spicy food is more of a myth, an urban legend that's somehow potrayed across the Western shows and places like a doomed reality.

Being from North of India, New Delhi specifically I have never had "SPICY" food in my life. Nor has anyone in my family. All food places ask you the level of hotness you expect your dish to have and thus serve you.

The only people whom I have come across who eat spicy food as if it's Oreo cookies are Rajasthanis, Their cuisine contains so much use of dried chillies that it'll make anyone whose not accustomed to that kind of flavor cry and sweat.

And as for babies eating NOPE. Just like a kid growing up in the States is accustomed to bland food, the same way people across India/the globe are accustomed to their own cuisines which could thereby reflect the level of dish "hotness" they prefer.
