ElI5: how make 10 using 4 7 8 1 (no adding)

4-8-(7-1) makes -10. Pretty stumped on how to get positive ten. Useful multiples of 10 are only 5, and 2 in this case. I see no way to get both of those numbers as either positive or negative. So you would have to multiply something to get over positive 10 and then do some division and/or subtraction to get back down. The 1 has to be subtracted since you can't make 10 with just 4 7 and 8. Using division or multiplication with the one is the same as deleting it. I have tried subtracting it from each individual number before attempting to make 10 and I have tried subtracting it from each pair of numbers multiplied. Even tried stupid stuff like combining numbers 48/(7-1)=8 for example. If it's possible I'm not going to figure it out.
