No. YOU don’t have to take them every day. Saying “consult with your doctor” isn’t good enough. It’s irresponsible to offer pharmaceutical advice from your doctor to others like it’s no big deal. The better way to phrase it might be, “My doctor told me that I could take it intermittently and that seems to work for me. Maybe it’s something you could ask your doctor about.” That would be the response way to posit it, not treating it like “well, you can take a pill to get boners but check with your doctor first but no one ever does.” Titrating your meds isn’t something to fuck around with without strict guidance.

I am a dad to two little kids and run my own business and also am mostly responsible for keeping our home clean and clutter-free.

Not taking my meds isn’t an option.

It’s great that YOU have that flexibility, but don’t go around giving people pharmaceutical advice based on your own subjective experience which sounds incredibly not something a person with a clinical background would do.
