ELI5: Why we need to spend so much money on tv cable when we already see ads on tv?

Streaming was great when Netflix was the main game in town. What I do now is sign up for one service and watch everything worth watching, cancel, sign up for the enxr, repeat. By the time I've watched, the first streaming service usually has new seasons available, so I sign up and repeat the cycle.

The o ly reason I started streaming in the first place was because it was affordable and less hassle than priacy. I think corporations are starting to forget one of the big reasons for Netflix's streaming success. It was affordable an dprovised enough content to draw people away from puracy.

Alas, the siren's call of the high seas is pulling me back in. Arrrgh!
