ELI5: What do the specs on my PC mean?

HP Pavilon is the brand and product line of the whole PC, 590-p0066 specifies the exact product (there's lots of combinations)

Intel Core i5 means that you have a CPU manufactured by Intel and it's from the Core i5 line of products; 8400 means that it's from 2018 and 400 identifies it more precisely. So technically all this tells you is which product your CPU is, and to know anything else you have to look it up online. It's a recent and decent CPU by the way.

12 GB DDR4 SD-RAM with a clock speed of 2666 MHz. This means that there's 12GB of memory for applications to run in, it's of the DDR4 SD-RAM kind (no way to eli5 this), and that it can be accessed by the CPU pretty damn fast. This is also good.

These specs do not mention your hard drive at all.
